Stanwood, a coastal farming community, is the commercial and cultural center of northwest Snohomish County and Camano Island.  It embraces the values of rural life while still providing an urban level of services to its citizenry.  Through a community survey conducted in 2019, and as identified in the Parks Recreation and Open Space Plan, Stanwood residents have expressed their desire that the City place a high priority on future parks and recreation program planning.  With the growth of Stanwood and the community’s desire for robust parks and recreation services and facilities, the City is evaluating what a future park and recreation program or department could look like. 

The City of Stanwood is accepting Requests for Proposals (RFP) for professional services to prepare a Parks and Recreation Feasibility Study.  The Study shall form a strategy and provide recommendations on how best to provide recreational services to the Stanwood / Camano community.

The City reserves the right to modify or cancel in part, or in its entirety, this RFP.
