Project Description: Proposed improvements to the Heritage Park baseball fields include repair and/or replacement of existing irrigation and drainage as well as grading and field reconfiguration. The objective of the Heritage Park improvement project is to replace the failing field irrigation and drainage systems for Fields 1 and 2, slightly reconfigure the fields, and install new grass and dirt infields, new outfields and a warning track. Field 1 will be constructed with a 90-foot base path (with base path pegs installed at 70 feet and 60 feet as well), while keeping the existing side and outfield fencing. Field 2 will be built with a 70-foot base path (with base path pegs at 65 feet and 60 feet also). The existing outfield fence will be removed and a new outfield fence will be installed with a 300 foot center field distance. Both fields will be fitted with a 5-foot-wide warning track in front of the outfield fencing. A drainage system tie-in from the Field 3 dugouts to the pump system for Field 2 and a re-grade the Field 3 infield to remove the pitcher’s mound will also occur.
