OT wants to hear from you about how they can enhance the Amtrak Cascades intercity passenger rail service between Portland, OR, and Vancouver, BC. They are developing a Service Development Plan (SDP) in partnership with the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), Amtrak, BNSF, Sound Transit, Canadian National, and Oregon Department of Transportation to guide them over the next 20 years. Enhancements like additional trips, faster trips, and trips with different stopping patterns on the current route will be considered. In addition, they will also look at more significant connections to other forms of transportation to enhance the multimodal transportation system in our state.
