Salary Commission

Overview

The current Salary Commission was established in February 2012 by the city council's adoption of Ordinance 1306. According to this ordinance, the role of the commissioners is to set the salary of the council members and other elected officials. The responsibility of each commissioner is to meet between May 1st and July 31st of each year to determine whether or not salary adjustments for the following year (to be effective January 1st) are necessary.

Commissioners are appointed by the mayor and serve three-year terms.
