Economic Development Board
The Economic Development Board was established by Resolution 2014-04 to provide a voice on issues such as economic development incentives, tourism, special events and support for local businesses.

The Finance/Personnel Committee makes recommendations to the city council regarding finance and personnel issues.

Library Board
The Library Board is an advisory board of the City of Stanwood. The board makes recommendations to the mayor and the city council regarding the general supervision of the library facilities and programs in accordance with the city’s contract for library service with the Sno-Isle Library System.

The Stanwood Planning Commission is a board of volunteer citizens who advise City Council in matters concerning comprehensive land use and development inside the City limits.

Salary Commission
The current Salary Commission was established in February of 2012 by city council adoption of Ordinance 1306. According to this ordinance, the role of the commissioners is to set the salary of the council members and other elected officials.
