Ballfields and Walking Trails

Field Reservations

  • All leagues must submit an application to reserve a field for practices, games, camps,  and tournaments.
  • The picnic shelter at Church Creek Park can be reserved for a small fee.
  • For special events or athletic tournaments/jamborees, the entire park can be reserved.

Field Closures

During periods of inclement weather, the Parks Department may close Athletic Fields as determined by the Maintenance Staff. Closures may also result from poor playing conditions, which could cause hazardous conditions for the public and/or excessive (wear/tear) repair work to bring the field back to playable condition.

Walking Trails

  • Church Creek Park Walking Trail is a short trail through a wooded area to Douglas Creek.
  • Heritage Park Walking Path is just shy of 0.5 miles.
  • Lindstrom Walking Path is a 1.4-mile loop around east Stanwood businesses. The walking path is owned and maintained by the Lindstrom Development Group. View a map of the 1.4-mile path (PDF).
