2015 Comprehensive Sewer Plan

About the Plan

Sewer Plan CoverThe City of Stanwood’s (City) sewer system is a major infrastructure, most of which is invisible to the customers it serves. The sewer system requires qualified staff to operate and maintain an ongoing capital improvement program to replace old components to meet the requirements mandated by federal and state laws. The primary purpose of the City’s Comprehensive Sewer System Plan (Plan) is to identify and schedule sewer system improvements that correct existing deficiencies and ensure a safe and reliable sewer system for current and future customers. This Plan was prepared in accordance with provisions in the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) Section 90.48 - Water Pollution Control, Washington Administrative Code (WAC) Section 173-240-050 - General Sewer Plan, and WAC 173-240-060 Engineering Report.
